Why we can’t do this part: fingerprints and facial capture must be yours, taken by an NIS officer. It’s the law — and it’s also what keeps your passport yours.

Asked before every application.

How long does it take?
It depends on booklet production at your chosen passport office, which varies by location and season. We’ll give you a realistic estimate for your specific office before you pay, and you’ll see every stage update live in your dashboard. What we remove entirely is the part you’d otherwise lose days to — forms, payment, queues and follow-up visits.
Can I renew before my passport expires?
Yes — and you should. Many countries require six months of validity for entry, so we recommend starting your renewal at least nine months before expiry. Add your passport to your free wallet and we’ll remind you at exactly the right time.
My passport is lost or stolen. Can you help?
Yes. Re-issue for a lost or stolen passport needs a police report and a court affidavit alongside the standard renewal documents. We’ll guide you through obtaining both and handle the rest of the process as normal.
Do you charge more than the government fee?
The official NIS fee goes to government, at the published rate — we add one flat ₦12,000 handling fee, shown separately before you pay, with an itemised receipt after. If anyone quotes you a single “all-in” price with no breakdown, ask where the difference goes.
What is contactless renewal, and do I qualify?
NIS offers contactless processing for certain renewals, letting eligible applicants renew without visiting a passport office — particularly valuable for Nigerians abroad. Eligibility depends on your existing passport record and application type, and the rules evolve. Our eligibility check (C-02) confirms your status against current NIS criteria before you commit to anything, so you never book a trip — or a flight home — you didn’t need.
I live abroad. How does this work for me?
Start online exactly the same way. We check your contactless-renewal eligibility first; if you qualify, we handle the process end-to-end with no embassy visit. If your case requires capture, we give you consulate-specific requirements and appointment guidance for your nearest mission, then coordinate secure delivery of the finished booklet to where you live.
Can you apply for my children?
Yes. Minors have additional requirements, including parental consent and the parents’ data pages, and the child must also attend capture. Start the application and we’ll generate the exact checklist for your child’s case.
