Changing your company details at CAC

A company is not frozen at the moment it is registered. As it grows you will need post-incorporation changes — adding or removing a director, moving the registered address, changing the company name, allotting new shares or changing shareholders. Each is a formal CAC filing with its own forms and resolutions. This guide covers what can change and how, so your register stays accurate (and your bank stays happy).

Honest note: RenewPapers is not CAC. These changes are filed with and approved by the Commission. What we do is draft the resolutions, complete the right forms, and file them so the change is clean and reflected on your status report.

The common changes

  • Change of directors — appointments and resignations, with the supporting resolutions and consents.
  • Change of registered address — keeping CAC’s record and your correspondence aligned.
  • Change of company name — subject to name availability and approval.
  • Share allotment & change of shareholders — issuing new shares or transferring existing ones, with updated returns of allotment.
  • Business name renewal / changes — for business names rather than companies.

What are you changing?

Keep CAC, your bank and the NRS in sync. A change filed at CAC but not reflected at your bank (or vice versa) causes account freezes and tax mismatches. We make sure the change lands everywhere it needs to.
