Transcripts and certificate attestation for abroad
Applying to study, work or migrate abroad usually means two things: getting your academic transcript sent officially from your institution, and having your certificates attested/authenticated so they are accepted overseas. Both are slow and fiddly if you are not on the ground. This guide explains how each works and how we handle it for you.
The two jobs
- Transcript processing — requesting your official transcript and getting it sent to the destination (university, WES/ICAS, employer). Nigerian institutions are notoriously slow — persistent follow-up is the whole game.
- Certificate attestation / authentication — getting your degree and certificates authenticated (including NUC verification) and legalised for the destination country. Remember: Nigeria is not an Apostille country, so it is legalisation, not an apostille — see document legalisation.
